A designer and investor, Tara has built and backed startups in emerging technologies for over 15 years. She is the founder of Strange Ventures, an early-stage VC fund investing in deeply technical software founders. She previously was General Partner of investments at global design and strategy firm, IDEO, where she made over 60 investments and set up two institutional funds. Prior to that, she led design at deep tech startups, was a journalist at a national newspaper, and founded an interactive media and gaming company in 2012.
